The LDM43 is an opto-electronic distance measuring module for
industrial applications. The module relies on comparative phase
measurement with amplitude modulation to deliver its output. The laser
diode (cw operation) has a divergence of 0.6 mrad that allows
measurement with pinpoint accuracy. The sensor is equipped with a
ProfiBus DP Interface and can easily be integrated into any field bus
driven process controller and works as a linear encoder.The LDM43 can work as class1 or class 2 encoder and all versions are available via GSD-file. The additional SSI Interface provides another convenient option for controlled operation of the measuring module. The laser works with cw laser diode which visible spot you can use to easily adjust the device.
